No rooms needed, only called in for coffee and met an old friend and his pal, we were out on motorcycle ride. The cafe was serve yourself tea, coffee and bacon and egg Betty's were perfect.
We have passed this place so many times.
Will never pass it again (Sorry govnor)
Looks good for bikers, drivers, family's. Was a great welcome from staff, helpfull and very welcoming.

Up visiting family for the weekend. The rooms are basic but comfy bed and usual tea and coffee making facilities. We were in room 10 which is right next door to the laundry room so it was a bit noisy in the morning when the washing machine was in use.
The locals made us feel very welcome in the bar and the food served was wholesome and tasty. Before we set off home we had the carvery which was outstanding and great value for money. They also do a takeaway/delivery service which was very popular too. Thanks to Bobbie, Aaron, Mum and Dad for our stay.

Had my doubts when we first arrived as from the outside it looks poor. Once inside the rooms and bar are spot on, and the bar staff were so nice and welcoming.

Amazing Sunday carvery - proper home- cooked food! The beef was beautiful and all the veg really tasty. The place was packed, a real hidden gem.

We stopped here for a quick lunch. We had the all-day breakfast which was amazing and they were very accommodating for my mum who's a vegetarian and they made a special pasta for her. Amazing staff

Feels homely! Lovely people who welcome you warmly. The rooms are comfortable and clean and warm.
There was no air conditioning in the room I stayed in so in summer may get very hot.
It was quiet and peaceful.
There is a selection of drinks available at the bar downstairs and food available in the morning and throughout the day.

Called in for breakfast and what a feast it was ,the staff were wonderful and friendly I recommend if anyone is in the area call in it's worth the visit a most welcoming smile as soon as you enter ,tried there Sunday carvery and it was delicious the meat whichever you choose melts in your mouth and as for the veg cooked perfectly as much or as little as you want give it a go

My review is based on the service I have experienced in the cafe side of things due to the COVID19 pandemic and the fact that its currently Lockdown #2 .
This is no doubt the most basic cafeteria but its service and food is very good. Your helpful guy who takes the order to what ever you desire is Harry and has the customer service that money can't buy these days. So if you're looking for a light bite in passing or a breakfast to suit all then I'm definitely recommending this place.

I have only been to this location for my Breakfast, but they do a nice and very reasonable Breakfast. Quite a small but friendly location. I always go for my Breakfast whenever passing and would recommend it for you are looking for cheap and cheerful.

I go to the Brown Horse every sunday with my family for the carvery and it's excellent.I would like to try a sweet one week but im always too full after the dinner,ive also been to the indian night on fridays and couldn't fault it,superb.

Have been a customer with my family for years because food is absolutely first class, all staff are polite and will do anything for you, Sunday lunch very reasonably priced and plenty of it, I really would recommend it to anyone
